Defense leads to Dolphins win over Raiders 20-13

The Miami Dolphins are one of the most offensively talented teams in the NFL.  The skilled position players in Miami have been playing at Pro-Bowl level, but Sunday the Dolphins defense stepped up when the game was on the line.  Miami cornerback Jalen Ramsey has been lights out since returning from the injured reserve list.  Not only has Ramsey been a lockdown cornerback, but he has made game-winning plays when the Dolphins needed it most.  Sunday afternoon the Dolphins’ offense did score 20 points, but they turned the ball over 3 times.

The Las Vegas Raiders were only able to convert 4 of 14 3rddowns, and 0 for 2 on 4thdown conversions.  Each team had 3 turnovers, but the Raiders threw three interceptions.  The Dolphins’ quarterback Tua Tagovailoa passed for 28 of 39 completions for 325 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception.  As he has done throughout his career, wide-receiver Tyreek Hill carved up the Raiders’ secondary with 10 receptions for 146 yards and 1 touchdown.  The Raiders now lost their first game under newly appointed head coach Antonio Pierce, but there has been a tremendous turn around in the locker room.  The Raiders now have a 5-6 record and will host the Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday.  Miami keeps pace for being a top team in the AFC improving to 7-3 and will play a Black Friday primetime game in New York against the Jets.
