David Benavidez stays undefeated after defeating Ronald Ellis in the 11th

UNCASVILLE, Conn- David Benavidez keeps his undefeated record intact after scoring a TKO victory against Ronald Ellis.

Benavidez came out the gate establishing what he wanted to do to Ellis throughout the entire fight. Benavidez was the aggressor and hit Ellis with jabs, power punches, and damaged any type of confidence that Ellis brought to the table. When Ellis did land a shot to Benavidez's face or body, it really did not have much of an effect.

After 11 rounds of boxing, the referee felt like Ellis was taking too much of a beating and decided to end the fight. After the fight, Benavidez had this to say about his performance.

“I rate my performance pretty good but I know I could have done better,” said Benavidez, who extended his perfect record to 24-0. “Ronald Ellis is a tough competitor. I just hope the fans like what they saw. I threw a lot of combinations, punches in bunches. There were a lot of times I thought Ellis was going to quit but he didn’t. Hats off to him, he’s a tough guy. It was a little later than I wanted but a stoppage is still a stoppage. I hope the fans got a good show tonight.”

Both fighters put on a show, throwing a combined 1,403 punches.
