Dallas continues to get contributions from their defense in a victory over the Jets 30-10

Who would have thought they you would see a match-up between Dak Prescott and Zach Wilson this week? Last week, just minutes into the game, Aaron Rodgers tore his Achillies and has been ruled out for the season. The Jets rallied and picked up a huge victory over the Bills Sunday night. On the other side of the field, Prescott had a below average game, throwing only 143 yards, but the Cowboys' defense was the talk of the town. They shutout the Giants in dominating fashion 40-0.

Coming into this game, Dallas was the favorite to win. Dallas picked up right where they left off. Prescott went 5 of 5 on their opening drive, as they punched the ball in endzone to strike first. After their first possession, nothing really exciting down the field happened. Dallas kept the ball mostly on the ground and attempt to establish the run. They scored 10 points and looked to be in control of the game. Last week, the defense for the Cowboys did not allow a score. Today was different. Dallas blew a coverage in the secondary, as they allowed Wilson to hit Garrett Wilson for a 68-yard touchdown bomb to get within three. To cap off the half, Dallas not only scored a touchdown but converted on two-point conversions to go into the locker room with a 18-10 lead.

Dallas is known to take the ball away from opponents and in the second half, they forced a fumble that led to a field goal to extend the lead. The Cowboys had Wilson tap dancing in the pocket, trying to avoid defender after defender. They didn't allow Wilson to be a threat, throwing the deep ball and forced him to check the ball down. New York only converted five three downs in the second half. Dallas went on to win in dominating fashion.
