After being defeated by the Steelers last week, Daniel Jones and crew wanted to regroup and get back to playing Colts' football. If you are not familiar with how the Colts play, they play very free and do not really turn the ball over. Heading to Germany, playing the Falcons, the message was let's get back to playing mistake free.
For the most part, the Colts had a dent first half. D. J. threw for 142 yards and was mistake free until 30 ticks left in the half. He tried to fit the ball in a tight place, and it was picked off. On the other side of the field, the Colt's defense did a pretty decent job with putting pressure on Michael Penix Jr. They did not allow him to really get into any type of rhythm, but a few mistakes cost them as the Falcons scored two touchdowns.
Coming out into the second half, the Colts wanted to minimize mistakes and wanted to take what the defense was giving them. That is what they did. Trailing by 10 late, the Colts scored off an 83-yard sprint by Jonathan Taylor to cut the Falcons lead to three. With under a minute left in regulation, Badgley hit a 44-yard field goal to force OT.
After forcing a three and out, Daniel Jones was aggressive withe short field that they had. He threw a 30-yard dart to his receiver to put his team in field goal position. Taylor did the rest as he got stronger with every touch that he was given. He finished off the drive with a touchdown and had a 244 yards and 3 td's to ap off the night
