Clemson keeps the winning streak going
The Tigers won their fifth straight game on Saturday as Cade Klubnik passed for three touchdowns and Phil Mafah added two touchdown runs. This was in a 49-14 win over Wake Forest.
Captain Cade threw for 309 yards on 31-for-41 passing and ruled the air, and Big Mafah gained 118 yards on 20 carries while he was in control of the ground.
Clemson's defense came up with 2 interceptions that were turned into touchdowns as the Tigers pulled away with a 28-point second quarter and didn't look back.
Clemson's offensive strategy focused on a balanced attack, effectively utilizing both the passing and running game to keep Wake Forest's defense on its heels. Cade Klubnik showcased his ability to distribute the ball to multiple receivers, while Phil Mafah's powerful running provided a dynamic ground game. This mix of aerial and ground threats allowed the Tigers to dominate the field and maintain their winning streak.
Clemson's defense demonstrated its prowess by applying constant pressure on Wake Forest's quarterback, forcing hurried throws and creating turnover opportunities. The defensive line consistently penetrated the backfield, disrupting the opponent's offensive rhythm and limiting scoring chances. Additionally, the secondary's tight coverage led to those crucial interceptions, further solidifying the Tigers' control of the game.
The Tigers are looking unstoppable at this point.
