Cameron Brink scores 11 points in WNBA debut

On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Sparks had their first game of the season against the Atlanta Dream but lost 92-81.

For the first time ever, the young rookie Cameron Brink made her debut and immediately had an impact in the first half of the game. She had a few nice moves to the basket, as well as made her impact on the defensive side of the ball. Brink had a couple of blocks, but the highlight that will not show on the stat sheet was her vision. She was moving defenders with her eyes and making the right reads to open up her teammates with easy shots. Even though Brink finished the game with 11 points, 4 assists, and 2 rebounds, she had an impact on the game.

Outside of Brink, Kia Nurse had a sensational game with 23points, shooting 50% from the field, but it was not enough as the Dream dominated in the fourth quarter. Rhyne Howard went off in the quarter and had the Sparks drowned in water looking for some type of light to stop the bleeding. After it was all said and done, the Sparks dropped their season opener, but have a lot to look forward to.
