Bucs lose their first game of the season to the Rams, 34-24

Tampa Bay- The Buc's defense got torched by the Los Angeles Rams in a loss.

For the first time in his hall of fame career, Tom Brady faced the Rams in regular season play and the build up to this game was intriguing. For such a build-up, there wasn't much offense going on in the first half. Tom Brady finally got his offense going late in the second and threw a two-yard touchdown pass to Chris Godwin to knot the game up, 7-7. The last two minutes of the half was filled with some offense from both teams. The Rams scored a touchdown, while the Bucs got themselves in field goal position with .5 seconds left in the half, but missed the field goal.

Tampa Bay walked in the half with 184 total yards and down 14-7

The Bucs had some work to do in the second half after Matthew Stafford opened the third quarter with a 75-yard touchdown bomb to DeSean Jackson to extend their 21-7. Tampa Bay got themselves back in the game with a one-yard TD keeper by Brady to cut the Rams' lead to one possession. Despite Brady getting into the endzone, the Bucs lost Rob Gronkowski to an apparent rib injury for a few possessions

Each time the Bucs looked like they could make the game tight and interesting, their defense would blow assignments and boom a wide open receiver for the Rams would either make a big play down the field or score a touchdown. Tampa Bay went onto to lose their first game of the season.
