Bills gamble on fourth and short and was stuffed by the Titans at the end of regulation 34-31
Buffalo- The Bills were defeated by the Titans on a defensive stand at the end of regulation.
The Blue, Red, and White had their hands full early on with Derrick Henry. They had trouble getting him to the ground, as he busted through one of the top defenses in the league. After only scoring two filed goals in the first quarter, the offense started to roll in the second. Josh Allen threw two touchdowns and drove his team down the field to kick a field goal before half. With 184 yards through the air and a stiff 60 yards on the ground, the Bills walked into the locker room holding a 20-17 lead.
The start of third was once again filled with potential aspirations of punching it in the endzone. Buffalo had a good drive going, but had to settle for another field goal On the ensuing possession, the Titans used their bulldozer in Henry and he knocked down the Bill's defensive towers. Nine-plays later, the Bills saw their lead turn into sawdust with the Titans scoring a touchdown.
Josh Allen answered the Titans' phone call with a screeching touchdown of his own. Allen threw a touch pass to Tommy Sweeney for the touchdown and Allen caught a pass on a two point conversion to retake the lead at the start of the fourth 31-24. The Titans caught the magically bug and hit the Bills with everything they had. With the Titans marching with under three minute left, Buffalo needed to stop the Henry machine. Henry once again found himself in the endzone on a seven-yard power run to put the Titans' in the driver seat to shock the Bills.
Buffalo shot themselves in the foot with a crucial holding call that took back a 100-yard kick return. Allen was like hold my beer, I got you. Allen zipped two passes for over 25-yards to get the Bills in field goal position in a blur. On a fourth and short, the Bills decided to go for it and was stuffed at the line to walk back on the bus with a tough loss to the Titans.
