Aja Wilson puts the Aces' on her back, as Las Vegas defeats the Sun, 83-75

Bradenton, FL- Aja Wilson hit key shots late in the fourth quarter to defeat the Sun 83-75.

Aja Wilson took matters in her own hands, as she was aggressive in the first half. Wilson was taking the double teams that the Connecticut Sun was throwing at her and was active with creating shots for her and her teammates. On the defensive side, the Aces looked confused with how to guard the Sun. Briann January was putting the Aces' defense on skates, as she was getting to the rim with ease. The only reason why the Aces kept the game close in the first half was the Wilson effect. Wilson put the team on her shoulders and dominated the first half with 17 points. At the end of the break the Sun was clinging onto a one point lead, 39-38.

Angel McCoughtry started to get rolling in the second half, as she hit a couple of baskets to cut the Suns' lead to four. The Aces struggled to get anything productive going on the offensive end, but their defense kept them in the game. The Aces had a couple of steals that led to seven fast break points.

With under .55 seconds left in regulation, Wilson drove down the lane and hit a key lay-up, as she was fouled to seal the deal for the Aces. That score would spark a 6-2 run, as the Aces tied the series up at one apiece with the victory.

Wilson finished the game with 29 points, 3 assists, and 7 rebounds.
