WWE Hall of Fame 2026: Big Names Honored, But Legacy Wing Sparks Debate

The WWE Hall of Fame is usually one of the more meaningful parts of WrestleMania weekend, and this year had a strong group on paper. Stephanie McMahon and AJ Styles were two of the biggest names, along with Demolition, while Dennis Rodman added that crossover moment you usually get with this kind of event.
Those inductees got the full Hall of Fame treatment, speeches, stories, and time to reflect, which is usually what people remember most. That part felt like what you expect. But at the same time, the Legacy wing ended up being a big part of the conversation, and not in a good way.
This year’s Legacy inductees included names like Sid Vicious and Bad News Brown, both long overdue in a lot of ways. But instead of getting their own moment, they were recognized through a video montage. Their families were there, but they didn’t get the chance to speak.
That’s really where things felt off. When you’re talking about wrestlers who helped build the industry, it feels like they should be recognized the same way as everyone else. Instead, it came across like they were included, but not fully honored. That’s what stuck with people. Not whether they deserved it, but how it was handled. And for something like the Hall of Fame, that difference matters.
