The Los Angeles Rams conducted their third open Organized Team Activities (OTA) of 2025 this Tuesday, June 10, 2025. The squad practiced for an hour and a half, and despite the blazing heat in Woodland Hills, both the offense and defense gave it their all running drills at 100 percent. Even from a week ago, when the last open practice took place, the players seemed more unified, cohesive, and energetic.
Some highlights from the eleven- on -eleven session included several stellar connections from Quarterback Matthew Stafford to WR Puka Nacua and WR Davante Adams, as well as an insane one-handed interception thrown from Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and picked by S Kamren Kinchens, which gotten the defense riled up on the sidelines.
Here are the top 5 takeaways from today’s practice:
17-year NFL veteran Quarterback Matthew Stafford looked sharp. His footwork was flawless, and his accuracy with the football was on point. He hit every one of his targets throughout the practice and was especially dialed in with Nacua and Adams.
The Wide Receiver corps looks top-notch this season. Along with Nacua and Adams, Tuta Atwell, Britain Covey, and Jordan Whittington are all looking like the off-season never happened. Nacua took the “Best catch of the day” award, jumping to grab a 35-yard-high reception thrown by Stafford. Nacua has never looked better - his hands and footwork are tight, he’s running nice routes, and has great yards after the catch.
Rookie TE Terrence Ferguson continues to impress during these OTA’s. Selected by the Rams with their first pick in the second round of the 2025 Draft, he proved today that LA made the correct choice. He had two great catches in a row thrown by Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
The “Best Play of the Day” Award went to Safety Kamren Kitchens after he intercepted an approximate 20-yard pass from Garoppolo using only one hand. The pick caused celebration on the sidelines, as well as on the field.
In his press conference, six-time Pro Bowler and recently acquired wide receiver from the New York Jets, Davante Adams, spoke fondly of his experience thus far being a part of the Rams organization. He said, “I kind of feel like pop warner or high school, college ball all over again and that’s exactly what this team feels like in the best way possible, it feels like a college-type comradery. I don’t think I’ve seen a linebacker and punter talking as much as I have since I’ve been here, or the kicker and the Quarterbacks or whoever it is, there is just so much crossover. Even within myself, it took me a little more time to get integrated in the Jet’s team, than it was getting in here and I knew more of the guys on the team so its kind of just depends on… I feel like this is what I needed based off the vibe and the aura of the building and everybody is in a good mood, it’s not like a dark cloud over the building and I’ve experienced that quite a bit over the past few years.”
All in all, a very positive OTA practice was held today at the Rams’ facility. Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come and that the Rams are headed in the right direction for a stellar 2025 season.
