The Green Bay Packers release RB Aaron Jones

The Green Bay Packers have released RB Aaron Jones.  The transaction was announced Monday by GM Brian Gutekunst.  Packers GM & Head Coach Mat La Fleur had positive things, to say about Jones, who was selected by GB in the 5th round (182nd overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft out of U of Tx Elpase. He played in 97 regular season games w/85 starts and started all seven postseason contests.

Jones has racked up all-time franchise leading stats during his tenure in GB and helped the Packers win three division titles.
