Who would have thought that the first half between the Volunteers and Syracuse would be an offensive scoring game? Both teams were very efficient with moving the ball down the field and scored points. Tennessee' had everything going, from running the ball down the throats of Syracuse to airing it out, Tennessee exploited their secondary. Joey Aguilar had himself a nice game, throwing 3 touchdowns and had 248 yards through the air. The team collectively had 103 rushing yards.
Despite the loss, young QB Steve Angeli had a decent day, throwing for 274 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 pick. Yasin Willis also had a nice day with 23 touches for 91 yards.
