T.J. Parker and Peter Woods are both looking to lead the Clemson Tigers back to the National Championship. They are both highly regarded and expected to be taken in the top 10 of the 2026 NFL Draft. This is based on multiple mock drafts.
Parker is a long-strength and explosive athlete who is still scratching the surface of his potential. He plays with noticeable power and speed, and a motor which allows him to make plays late in the down. He holds the Clemson single season record for forced fumbles (6) and the true freshman record for tackles for a loss (12.5).
Woods is a wrecking ball on the defensive line. Listed at 6'5 and, he has incredible explosiveness and is equipped with decent hand-fighting techniques and run defense instincts. Woods possesses rare power, easily knocking back guards and centers for Clemson. He plays with outstanding leverage and is impossible to move in the run game. Woods had a 12.2% pressure rate in 2024, per TruMedia.
Together, Parker and Woods form a formidable duo that anchors Clemson's defensive line, making it one of the most feared units in college football. Their ability to disrupt the backfield consistently forces opposing offenses to adjust their game plans, often leading to hurried throws and turnovers. Their leadership and playmaking skills set the tone for the rest of the defense, contributing significantly to Clemson's overall success on the field.
With Heisman candidate quarterback, Cade Klubnik leading the offense and this dynamic duo leading a stacked defense. Come college football playoff time, I see no reason why the Tigers won't be in the mix.
