Seattle blows out Mercury, 83-60

Bradenton, FL- Jordin Canada had a game high 13 points, 4 assist, and 2 rebounds, as the Seattle Storm blows out the Phoenix Mercury 83-60.



In the first half, Seattle pushed the tempo of the game, as Jordin Canada got going early in the game. Canada had a couple of beautiful dishes to her teammates and was putting pressure on Mercury's defense as she hit a couple of shots. One of the key factors that opened up the game up for the Storm was the ability to trap Diana Taurasi and get a couple of turnovers. The Mercury turned the ball over six times in the half and Seattle had scored 10 fastbreak points off of the turnovers. The Storm had a 28 point half and blew the game wide up.


In the second half, the Storm did not let off the gas as they extended their lead to a blistering 30 points. Canada was just having her way with the Mercury. Seattle had caused 15 turnovers in the game and went on to secure another victory. Seattle had five players in double figures.
