Sammy Brown's time is NOW

Sammy Brown that's it that's all. He was one of the top recruits in the nation when he entered Death Valley in 2024 as a true freshman. As a 6-foot-2, 235-pound hybrid backer, the Tigers immediately saw a positive impact on the team. He totaled 80 tackles, 11.5 for a loss, five sacks and three pass deflections en route to earning ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year.

As a full-time starter last season, Brown became one of the elite players on the defensive side of the ball. A total of 106 tackles, 13.5 for a loss, five sacks, five pass deflections, one forced fumble, and one interception were recorded by him. 

By season's end, he finished tied for second in the conference in tackles and tied for eighth in tackles for loss, earning First Team All-Conference honors.

Brown has already been named a preseason First-Team All-American. He was also recently named to the Athletics' annual College Football Freaks list. He was also named to the Butkus Award Watch List, given annually to the nation’s most outstanding linebacker.

Brown is currently projected as a top 40 pick in the 2027 NFL Draft, and it's easy to see why. He is an elite athlete with top speed and size that you cannot teach and his IQ and tackling ability is top notch.

As a result of his presence on the field, the Tigers' defense has become one of the best in the conference. In high-pressure situations, Brown's leadership and ability to execute crucial plays have contributed significantly to the team's victories. In addition to his individual statistics, he inspires and elevates his teammates' performances, creating a cohesive and resilient defense.
