Heading into a do or die situation for the Pacers, some were concern about Tyrese Haliburton not playing because of a leg injury, but he said that he would do everything in his power to play. Prior to the game, it was announced that he would be playing, but his minutes were limit in the first half. Just as you would expect, the Pacers played with their backs to the wall intensity and forced the Thunder to play at their pace. At one point in the half, the Pacers had a seven-point cushion, but SGA was like I will die on my shield and hit tough buckets to put a lot of pressure on the Pacers.
Things looked up for the Pacers as O. Toppin and Siakam went to work and started scoring at will in the second half. Both of them combined for 36 crucial points. Outside of their role players showing up on both sides of the floor, their three points shots were falling. Midway in the third, the game got away from OKC and eventually the Pacers forced a winner take all finals.
