NASCAR will have limited capacity for fans during 2021 Daytona 500 race

Daytona, FL- During Daytona 500 weekend next year, NASCAR had decided to allow only a limited amount of fans because of the pandemic.

NASCAR wanted a packed house for the race, but because there has been an increased rise in deaths and COVID-19 cases, NASCAR decided to limit attendance. Fans who want to attend have to purchase their tickets in advance online at www.DAYTONA500.com/updates or calling 1-800-PITSHOP. Individuals who are attending the race are required to practice social distancing and wear face coverings.

“The DAYTONA 500 is one of the greatest spectacles in all of sports, and fans from all over the world converge in Daytona Beach to be a part of motorsport’s biggest day,” said Daytona International Speedway President Chip Wile. “While we won’t be able to have a capacity crowd here in February, we are excited that we can host the DAYTONA 500 with those in attendance, as well as for the millions who will tune in live on FOX.
