McCaffrey dominate Cardinals 35-16

The strength of the San Francisco 49ers is a strong rushing attack and a stout defense that will not allow big plays. Sunday afternoon, fans saw the best from the 49ers on both sides of the ball. Running back Christian McCaffrey was a difference maker for the outcome of this game.

His 20 rushing attempts for 106 yards for 3 touchdowns in addition to his 7 receptions for 71 yards and 1 touchdown exposed the lack of depth from the Arizona Cardinals defense. From a historical standpoint, McCaffrey fell one touchdown short of the San Francisco 49ers record that could have tied the great Jerry Rice and Ricky Watters with 5 touchdowns in one game.

The 49ers were focused and determined to stay atop the NFC West and get their 2nd division win and stay unbeaten at 4-0. Quarterback Brock Purdy passed for 283 yards on 20 of 21 completions and passed for 1 touchdown. The 49ers defense held Arizona to 8 of 15 3rd down conversions and a total of 362 yards allowing two touchdowns and stopping a 2-point conversion. San Francisco 49ers will host the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday night on national television for a rematch of last year’s NFC Divisional round game. The Cardinals will host the 1-3 Cincinnati Bengals next Sunda
