Late turnovers killed the Buckeyes chances of making it to the Final Four

Ohio State- With a chance to go to the Final Four, Ohio State had to get past a swarming defense in the Hookies. Both teams were very efficient with shooting the ball in the first two quarters. Taylor Mikesell kept the game very interesting with scoring 19 points in the first half. Despite going in the break down by three, the Buckeyes was shooting around 55% from behind the arc.

The speed of Virginia Tech and Georgia Amoore was a lot to handle for Ohio State. Each time it seemed like the Buckeyes was gaining momentum to make a push to get within three, Virginia Tech would go on a mini run to go up five or six. The Hookies put the game away with a three pointer late in regulation and a steal to earn themselves a 84-74 victory, and a spot in the Final Four.
