Since it is a few days before Christmas, the Lakers thought they were going to pull out a victory against the Suns with outrunning the Suns, but Dillion Brooks was the Grinch that stole the Lakers' cheer.

For the most part of the first half, LeBron James and crew played very well. They were shooting around 45% from the field and was getting the shots that they wanted in the open floor. However, D. Brooks was the player the Lakers had no answer for. Each time, the Lakers attempted to go in their halfcourt defense, Brooks would either come up over the lakers with a screen and hit a three or he would blow past his defender for the easy-lay in. Brooks was a nightmare for LA and finished with 25 points and was the leading scorer for the Sun.

While we are talking about Brooks, the Lakers went into a shooting slump at the start of the third and that was when the Suns started pulling away. LBJ attempting to get the Lakers back in the game, but the three point shooting over the Suns kept them at bay. Eventually, La was defeat. James finished with 23 points.
