Lakers blowout Portland on Kobe Bryant Day, 135-115
Orlando- Kobe Bryant had to be smiling from somewhere, as the Los Angeles Lakers put on a show against the Portland Trailblazers.
On Kobe Bryant Day, the Lakers thrashed the Trailblazers from start to finish as they shot around 60% from the field. LeBron James was very aggressive, as he drove to the cup and finished plays off with dunks, hit a couple of threes, and hit his teammates in stride with some beautiful passes. James sent Portland a message that was read, as well as felt by the Trailblazers. The three point shooting for Los Angeles was a sizzling 46% behind the arc.
Contributions by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Danny Green, and Kyle Kuzma helped the Lakers on both sides of the ball. Each of these players had a couple blocks and steals that sprung 30 fast break points for LA. Anthony Davis had a short night, as he finished the game with 18 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds. James did not play in the fourth quarter, as he finished the game with 30 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds.
The Lakers are one game away from shutting the Trailblazers down and ending their phenominal run.
