Jey Uso Yeets his way to championship gold on night 1 of Wrestlemania

Night one of Wrestlemania 41 got off to a raucous start the PLE offered four championship matches. Jey Uso won the first world title of his career with a submission victory over Gunther. Tiffany Stratton successfully defended her WWE Women’s Championship against Charlotte in a feud that benefitted from real-life drama. LA Knight lost to Jacob Fatu for the United States Championship, and The New Day won their 11th tag team title against the War Raiders.
The story of the night was Paul Heyman turning on both CM Punk and Roman Reigns and aligning himself with Seth Rollins. Which creates a storyline of endless possibilities. Seth Rollins won a second WrestleMania main event with a second WrestleMania pinfall on Reigns.

Jey Uso def. Gunther | WWE World Heavyweight Championship- Jey Uso had the best entrance at Mania with DJ Valentino Khan, a team of dancers with “Yeet” flags and a WrestleMania-sized entrance where Jey walked all the way through Allegiant Stadium and Yeeted in the ring. The music looped at least three times. Jey Uso hit three spears and shockingly slapped on a rear-naked choke for the submission win. Yes, Gunther tapped out. After the match Jey’s brother Jimmy celebrated with him with hugs all around before Jey left into the crowd. Giving us our first Wrestlemania moment of the weekend.
The New Day Vs. The War Raiders | WWE World Tag Titles- The New Day have been running rough shot in recent months after breaking away from Big E. They managed to get Ivar down with a double stomp from the top rope and Kingston hid himself just well enough to hold Ivar’s legs down while Woods was pinning him. After the match San Francisco 49er tight end George Kittle had words for the champions.
Jade Cargill def. Naomi- Naomi walked out with new theme music that fit her new caution tape theme. Naomi dominated early, but Jade hit a great comeback, punctuated by a superkick. Jade was cut off briefly, but then she caught a diving Naomi in midair with a Jackhammer. An awesome spot.Jade won this historic match with a series of consecutive strongwoman spots, including a fireman’s carry into an electric chair, into a power bomb
Jacob Fatu def. LA Knight | WWE United States Title-Fatu and Knight went back-and-forth. Fatu landed several moonsults to finally put Knight away, clean in the middle. Haku, Fatu’s uncle, congratulated Jacob Fatu after his big win.
El Grande Americano def. Rey Fenix- Fenix replaced Rey Mysterio. Mysterio was injured on Smackdown. Amid WWE’s acquisition of AAA, Vikingo was shown in the crowd. Vikingo hit an enzuigiri kick on El Grande Americano before the match started. El Grande Americano in his steel-plated mask. El Grande Americano caught Fenix in an Ankle Lock. Americano used his steel mask on Fenix in midair, then once again from the top rope for the win. Vikingo helped Rey Fenix to his feet after the loss.
Tiffany Stratton def. Charlotte Flair | WWE Women’s Championship- Tiffany Stratton had a sick entrance as it mimicked a Barbie coming out of a package. Flair and Stratton’s rivalry quickly became less about a wrestling match, and more about what the two women represent outside the ring taking digs at each other's relationships. The two engaged in a back-and-forth affair. The two rivals slapped each other, and Charlotte missed a spear in the corner. Stratton hit a rolling crucifix followed by a BME for the win.
Seth Rollins def. Roman Reigns and CM Punk | Triple Threat Match- Seth Rollins walked out first with a flamethrower. Seth was dressed in all black, then the lights turned off. When the lights came back on, Seth was all white. WWE aired a fantastic video package for CM Punk. It was dedicated to one of his most famous promos early on in his career. “My name is CM Punk. I don’t smoke. I don’t drink. I don’t do drugs. My addiction is pro wrestling.” During the video package, “The Fire Burns” aired as fans sang along. Punk then walked out to a live rendition of “Cult of Personality” alongside Paul Heyman. Heyman kissed Punk on the head before Punk.
.As for the match, it was the match of the night. Rollins tried to convince Roman Reigns to work with him against CM Punk. Rollins took apart the announce table to prepare for a Shield Bomb. Now Reigns was conflicted. Reigns finally agreed to the spot, with fans going crazy, but then he outsmarted Rollins, punched out Seth and hit a power bomb on both his opponents. This match's best sequence is when these following moves hit in order.

Paul Heyman grabbed a steel chair and gave it to Punk. As Punk went to use the symbolic chair on Reigns, Heyman low-blowed Punk. Reigns destroyed Punk with a steel chair while Paul was still in the ring.Heyman instructed Reigns to hit Seth Rollins in the back. Nope. Paul Heyman hit a second low blow on Reigns. Seth Rollins wins.
