Halle Berry will be the ambassador for the 25th anniversary of the American Black Film Festival

Miami- Iconic actress Halle Berry will be in the forefront of the 25th anniversary of the legendary American Black Film Festival.





On Monday, it was announced that Berry will not just be apart of the festival, but be the ambassador this year. She was very excited about the opportunity and had this to say about coming back to the festival.


“For 25 years this festival has consistently supported emerging Black filmmakers,” said Berry.“I was honored to be recognized by ABFF early in my career and could not be prouder to return to the festival as its ambassador to help ABFF’s ongoing efforts to provide opportunities for emerging Black creators. I’m also thrilled to present my directorial debut BRUISED to the ABFF audience.”


Berry has been apart of this festival for over two decades and has loved how they have supported people of color in the film industry. This year will be a tad bit different. Since the global pandemic happen, there has been an adaption of adjustment with attendance, as well as coordinating events. The festival will be hybrid with some events live, while others will be virtual. The festival will start November 3-28.
