On Thursday, the Philadelphia Eagles opened up the NFL season against the Dallas Cowboys. Prior to kickoff, Philadelphia celebrated their second Super Bowl trophy with a ceremony. After the ceremony, things got a bit interesting. Right before the first play was called Jalen Carter was thrown out the game for spitting at Dak Prescott.

The first half for the Eagles were a fly by night, offensive frenzy as they went up and down the field and scored 21 points. Jalen Hurts scored two running touchdowns and Saquan Barkley powered in a touchdown. You would think the Eagles would blow out the Cowboys, but that was not the case. Dallas stuck it out and held Philadelphia to three points in the second half.

Let's take it to a third and five with under three minutes left in regulation. Hurts used his legs to seal the victory, as he juked Dallas' defenders to get the first down. After the game, Nick Sirianni had this to say about Hurts.

If you guys can tell me exactly how somebody played immediately after the game, that's pretty impressive. I'll have to watch the tape, but I think Jalen played a really efficient game. He made a lot of plays with his feet when things weren't particularly there. That's such an advantage that-- Jalen, there was a third-down, they took away his first read, he resituated his feet and put the ball to Dallas. To say I know exactly how he played yet would be hard because I want to watch the tape.

I thought he played really efficient, and I thought he played really well, and he's a big reason why we won that football game tonight, the game that he played. Again, I know that it'll say that we threw for 152 yards. 'What's going on? Why didn't we throw [more]?' But Jalen played really efficiently and really [well] from what I saw and made plays with his legs, his mind, and with his arm.”
