Eagles gains confidence in win over Lions 44-6

Philadelphia- Eagles get back on track with a win over the Lions.

The Eagles needed to get some type of productivity from their offense in a must have game against the Lions to stay in the race in their division. Boston Scott got the ball rolling for the Eagles with a two-yard touchdown late in the first quarter, 7-0. Despite the touchdown, the Eagles lost their deep threat receiver Jalen Reagor with an ankle injury and was listed questionable for return. Jake Elliott pounded a 43-yard field goal to make it a 10-0 game with under 11 minutes left in the second. Right before half, the Eagles took full control with another touchdown they added to make it a 17-0 game.

Philadelphia's swagger started to shine in the second half. Hurts was finding wide open holes in the Lions' defense. From calling his number on RPO runs to eating up the Lions in zone coverage, Hurts was putting a hurting on Detroit's secondary. Scott put the game away early in the third with a two-yard run to go up 24-0. After the score, the game was cosmetic after that.

Hurts finished 9 out of 14 for 103 yards through the air and ran for 71 yards on the ground.
