After losing to the Broncos, the Eagles had a short week to prepare for their division foes in the New York Giants. Prior to the Thursday Night math-up, the Eagles were asked about their offensive issues and how they were going to find a balance running the ball as well as getting AJ Brown and D Smith involved early on. The organization stated that they are figuring out what will work and what does not.
Philadelphia's offense was the tale of two halves. In the first half, Jalen Hurts and the Eagles'; offense put up 17 points in the first half. Saquan Barkley was garnishing yards and looked like he was going to have a big night. For the most part the game was pretty competitive until Jaxson Dart and Cameron Skattebo went into calling themselves the Scat team. Not only did they punish the Eagles threw the air, but Skattebo headbutted his way to 98 yards. Philadelphia had no answer defensive and their offense looked out of shape.
Down 2417, the Eagles had a chance to quickly put some points on the board to cut into the lead. The Giants forced a fumbled and scored a touchdown four plays later to put the game on ice. 34-17 Hurts finished the game with 283 yards through the air, 1 touchdown, and 1 pick. Barkley finished with 58 yards.
The last few weeks, the Eagles' offense has not looked like they did last season, and it may be time to switch up how they run their offense.
