After a win against the Raiders last week, Philadelphia wanted to build off that momentum heading into Washington. The first half for the Eagles was a disaster. Their opening drive of the day was over before it started, because Washington forced a fumble on the kickoff. Washington took advantage of the short field and scored off a field goal. Outside of that mistake, Jake Elliott missed two field goals, which left six points off the board. Despite the offense being stalled, they were only down 10-7 at the half and AJ Brown had 8 catches for 86 yards.

Coming out of the locker room, the Eagles wanted to keep the penalties down and not make crucial mistakes that could help Washington out and special teams need to improve. On their opening drive of the second half, the Eagles gashed and grinded out a 11-minute drive, which resulted in a 15-yard touchdown pass to Dallas Goedert to take their first lead of the night. Right after the touchdown, Cooper Dejean picked off Josh Johnson as Washington tried to answer the score with under .45 ticks left in the third quarter. Saquon Barkley and Tank Bigsby found the endzone on back-to-back touchdowns to ice the game.

Hurts finished the game, 22 out of 33 for 185 yards, 40 yards on the ground, and 2 td's.

Barkley finished with 21 touches for 132 yards and 1 td
