Dodgers Offense Explodes in Game 1 of the World Series against the Rays 8-3

Los Angeles- The Dodgers' offense comes alive,as they defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 8-3 in Game 1 of the World Series.



After having one day off from defeating the Atlanta Braves in the NCS, the Dodgers found themselves struggling to find any type of offense early on against the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 1 of the World Series. In the fourth inning the Dodgers ' offense started to show life. With LA up one, Cody Bellinger hit a solo homer to make it a 2-0 game. The Rays got back in the game after they hit a solo home run in the fifth to make it 2-1.


Los Angeles started rolling in the bottom of the fifth, as they had a four score inning to extend their lead 6-1. The Dodgers' offense scored to more runs in the sixth. Victory Gonzalez got himself in trouble at the bottom of sixth.The Rays just scored scored two runs and had all the bases loaded. With only one strike, it looked like Tampa Bay could jump right back into the game. However, Gonzalez calmed down and got the stops that he needed to get out the inning. The Dodgers went on to finish the game 8-3.
