Cowboys rout Giants 49-17 completing season sweep

The NFL season has reached the midpoint and several teams are fighting for position in playoff seedings and climbing in their divisions.   The Dallas Cowboys completed the season sweep of the New York Giants with a 49 to 17 victory on Sunday.  Not only did Cowboys’ quarterback, Dak Prescott, throw for 4 touchdowns and rush for 1, but his turnovers were low with only throwing 1 interception.  The Cowboys’ accumulated a total of 168 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns.

A historical game by wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was set with 151 yards on 11 receptions and 1 touchdown.  Lamb has been a consistent gem in the passing attack from the Cowboys and Sunday showed why he can be considered a top five wide-receiver in the NFL.  The New York Giants were playing with third-string quarterback Tommy DeVito that turned the ball over twice on interceptions and that was sacked 5 times losing 25 total yards because of it.  Dallas accumulated a total of 640 yards that can only be described as dominance.  The Cowboys’ defense totaled 5 sacks by 5 different players including Neville Gallimore, Sam Williams, Dante Fowler Jr., Dorrance Armstrong, and DeMarcus Lawrence.  Dallas now improves to a record of 6-3 and heads to Carolina next Sunday to face a wounded and struggling Panthers team.  New York drops their record to 2-8 and now face the Washington Commanders in another NFC East matchup next Sunday.
