Clippers get a huge lift by Norman Powell in huge victory over Spurs 119-97
From start to finish, the Clippers picked apart a young and hungry team in the San Antonio Spurs. Paul George was PG 13 and finished with an efficient 21 points. George has been lighting it up this season and needed another player to step up in this game. That player would be Norman Powell. Powell has had an up and down season thus far but came up huge last night.
Powell was seeing the floor with wide eyes. It seemed like he could not miss. He went 10 of 16 from the field and was pretty active with defending the Spurs' shooters' defensively. LA fed off of Powell's energy, which was infectious. You could see that the players responded to Powell's effort on both sides of the floor, which put a spark into the bench production in the last six minutes of the game to put the game to bed.
LA played together as a unit and finished with 32 assists.
