Former Green Bay Packers assistant head coach and special team's coordinator Rich Bisaccia has been hired as Clemson's new special team's coordinator. Bisaccia, 65, stepped down from the Packers on Feb. 17 after four seasons in Green Bay. Bisaccia previously spent five seasons with Clemson as a running backs and special teams coach between 1994 and 1998. He joined the NFL in 2002. Usually, the special teams' coordinators are mostly unknown, but Bisaccia became a big name after his tenure as interim head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders. Bisaccia has spent the last two decades coaching NFL teams, so it’s surprising to see him go back to college. Regardless, he’s very excited to return to Clemson.

“I am really excited to have the opportunity to work with the young men in the Clemson Football program and be part of a tremendous staff,” Bisaccia said in a statement. “After I made the decision to move in a new direction, Coach Swinney approached me with the opportunity to come back to a place that holds special meaning for me and my family. I’m thrilled to be able to return to the Clemson community and serve this program in any way I can.”

His experience and expertise in special teams will be invaluable in developing Clemson's young talent and improving their overall performance on the field. Bisaccia's leadership and knowledge will also provide the program with a competitive edge, particularly in high-pressure game situations. His return to Clemson brings a wealth of NFL experience that can greatly influence and elevate the team's success.
