Caitlin Clark 's shooter's scope was knocked off a bit in first pro game of her career

The WNBA season kicked off with the anticipation of Caitlin Clark's first game as a pro as her team faced the Connecticut Sun. Prior to the game, Clark looked as peaceful as she could be and said that she was excited for this season.

Even though she looked very confident heading into the game on the court, double Cannon Clark was hesitant with pulling the trigger on her shots. She was trying to get Wheeler and Boston into the mix, but shots were not falling. At the six-minute mark in the first quarter, Clark had to warm up the seat on the bench because she gotten her second foul on a minimum contact call.

Clark re-entered the game at the start of the second quarter to attempt to speed up the game a bit. She finally got her first WNBA points at the eight-minute mark of the quarter. However, around that time, Boston picked up her third foul. For the first time in the game, the Fever faced adversity as the Sun went on a 20-12 run to finish up the half up 49-39.

Clark's troubles continued into the second half, as the Sun threw double teams and was physical with her. Clark turned the ball over quite a few times. Outside of Clark, the Fever's defense could not stop Bonner or Thomas in the painted area. Indiana had a few runs that cut the lead down to single digits but the Sun's big three got the job down. After it was all said and done the Fever suffered their first loss of the season, 92-71.

Clark finished with 20 points/10 turnovers

Bonner finished with 20 points
