Broncos winning streak snapped

Wilson was intercepted three times, all in the second half. Derek Stingley Jr. had the first two picks for the Texans. The Broncos forced 15 turnovers in their winning streak but did not have a takeaway on Sunday. Wilson threw for 186 yards with a touchdown in Denver’s first loss since Oct. 12.

When asked about the loss Coach Sean Payton said “I’ll give it to our guys. We continued to battle,” Coach Payton said. “We just put ourselves in a too big of a hole today. ... We weren’t able to make enough plays.”

The Houston Texans controlled the game most of the day until late in the 3rd quarter when Russell Wilson threw a 45-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Courtland Sutton to make it 16-10. On the Broncos’ next drive, Wilson had a pass tipped at the line of scrimmage and intercepted, setting the Texans up with favorable field position. Stroud then threw a three-yard touchdown pass to Nico Collins to make it 22-10 (Houston’s ensuing two-point attempt was intercepted by Fabian Moreau).
