The anticipation of the Texas and Ohio State match game had everyone around the globe buzzing. A lot of broadcasters and analysts thought the game was going to be an offensive shootout, but as the game played on, both teams struggled. Arch Manning had one of those days, where throwing the ball, was not his game. He was very hesitant with going through all of his reads and held onto the ball much longer than he and the coach wanted. Arch did settle in the fourth and moved his team down the field for touchdown. He finished the game 17 out of 30 for 170 yards, 1 pick, and 1 touchdown.

Outside of Manning, the running attack did their part as they scrambled for 166 yards on the ground. After the loss, Manning and crew will have to go back to the drawing board and see where he needs to improve on. I would say that he has to learn to throw the ball away when he gets pressured, get into rhythm early on, and lastly be more efficient on third down conversions. Texas went 5 out of 14 on third downs. It is only game 1 of the season, so nobody should go inside the huddle and start hitting the panic button yet.
