Guests who attend the Met Gala will have to show proof that they are vaccinated

New York- The representatives for the Met Gala have confirmed that guests will have to show proof that that have been vaccinated as well as wear face coverings unless they are eating or drinking.

On Tuesday, the mayor of New York announced that individuals who want to attend bars, indoor gatherings, and restaurants will have to show proof that they were vaccinated. The representatives for the Met Gala echo the announcement and stated in a press release that guests attending the prestigious event will have to show proof of being vaccinated.

This year, the Met postponed its exhibit because of the global pandemic. Before the rise in COVID-19 cases, the coordinators felt like they could put together a fall gala and decided to set the date to September. 13. The reps for the event stated this year will look a tad different for most and it would be more of a small and intimate type of setting. With the restrictions and face coverings, it will be very interesting to see what some of these designers will pull out of their bag.
