Indiana had their first taste of the NBA Finals since 2000 on Thursday and the first half against OKC was a nightmare. Turnovers, turnovers, and more turnovers was their Achillies heels, which lead to the Thunder's scoring 12 points off of fast break turnovers. Outside of being a turnover machine, the Pacers' struggled to hit outside shots from behind the arc. They were a Stone-Cold stunner 6 out of 18 and was just out of sync with getting rhythm shots to drop.
Coming out the locker room down by 12, the Pacers knew if they could minimize their turnovers, they could make a run and win this game. As we have seen time in and time out, the Pacers are the comeback team that a lot of teams feared. It was raining threes for both teams as Tyrese Haliburton for the Pacers and Dort for the Thunder kept hitting threes in the third quarter. You would think that the way OKC was playing that they would be up 20, but the Pacers kept within striking distance heading into the fourth
Things got very interesting late in the fourth, as they cut the Thunder's lead to four. Indiana's defense got some key stop in the game and hit clutch shots down the stretch. With under.25 ticks left in regulation and OKC clinging onto a one-point lead, Indiana had one gasp and Tyrese hit another game winning shot to help the Pacers steal Game
