Trevor Lawrence feels like his recovery from his injury is ahead of schedule
Jacksonville, FL- Earlier this year Trevor Lawrence had to get surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left (non-throwing) shoulder.
After Lawrence got the surgery he needed, there was a gasp by Jaguars' fans on how long was it going to take for Lawrence to be in tip top shape. On a media conference on Friday after he was drafted, Lawrence announced that he was ahead of schedule and would probably be with the team whenever they started.
“Health-wise, I’m feeling really good. I don’t know what percentage I’d be, I don’t even know how to gauge that, but I’m on track. I’m actually a little ahead of schedule, so I’m expecting to be back whenever we get started. [I’m] really ready for that, like I said, to be a part of a team again. As far as the logistics of getting here and all that stuff, I haven’t figured it out exactly yet, have to find a spot to stay in first. I’m trying to figure that out. Obviously, there’s a lot of moving parts, but no matter where I’m at, I’m going to start working out here Monday and get back to my normal routine,: said Lawrence.
Lawrence was the overall number one pick in the 2021 NFL Draft class and has the entire weight of the Jags' organization on his shoulders. There is a lot of expectations for the organization and Lawrence knows that. The era of Lawrence has arrived and it will be an interesting season to see if he lives up to the "hype."
