Churchill Downs increase safety guidelines for Kentucky Derby

Louisville, KY- Churchill Downs will ensure guests will fell comfortable during this years Kentucky Derby.


After postponing the Derby last year and not having fans in the stands, because of the global pandemic, Churchill Downs is excited to welcome back fans this year. To make sure that everyone feels safe, Churchill Downs are allowing 40,000-45,000 people in attendance with socially distancing in tact and required face coverings.


Outdoor box seats will be in a checkerboard pattern, meaning full boxes will not have other guests in a box to the right, left, front or back. Reserved seats will be all-inclusive with food and drink to limit cash transactions. Infield tickets will not include food or drink, but concessions will be available. The infield capacity will be at approximately 25-30%.
