Basketball leagues have partnered to create an all woman basketball camp
It's a new day! The NBA, WNBA, & FIBA have teamed up to create basketball without borders. It's the 1st camp for all female basketball prospects.
There will be 38 players, from 24 countries, who will assemble together in Vegas for this once in a lifetime event. Some of the big names that will be playing will be are, Edniesha Curry, Betty Lennox, April Sykes and Tamera Young. "BWB, the NBA and FIBA’s global basketball development and community outreach program, has reached more than 4,000 participants from 136 countries and territories since 2001, with 111 former campers advancing to the NBA or WNBA."
These prospects will have a chance to be seen and learn from WNBA, FIBA coaches, and former players. They will be led and trained in shooting, agility, movement efficiency, and many more. The players will even have seminars about life skills. Nike, who is a global partner, will be fitting all the coaches, and campers with sneakers, and apparel. Camp Director, Allison Feaster, is the Vice President of Team Operations & Organizational Growth for the Boston Celtics.
The event will be held July 14-16 at the Doral Academy during 2023 WNBA All Star weekend.
